We sent out the SOS call. It was a quarter past four in the morning when the storm broke our second anchor line. Four months at sea, four months of calm seas only to be pounded in the shallows off the tip of Montauk Point. They call then rogues, they travel fast and alone. The hole in the hull defied tthe crews attempts to bail us out. And flooded the engines and radio and half buried bow. Your tongue is a rudder. It steers the whole ship. Sends your words past your lips or keeps them safe behind your teeth. But the wrong words will strand you. Come off course while you sleep. Sweep your boat out to sea or dashed to bits on the reef. The vessel groans the ocean pressures its frame. Off the port I see the lighthouse through the sleet and rain. And I wish for one more day to give my love and repay debts. But the morning finds our bodies washed up thirty miles west. They say that the captain stays fast with the ship through still and storm. But this ain't the Dakota, and the water is cold. We won't have to fight for long. This is the end. This story's old but it goes on and on until we dissappear. Calm me and let me taste the salt you breathed while you were underneath. I am the one who haunts your dreams of mountains sunk below the sea. I spoke the words but never gave a thought to what they all could mean. I know that this is what you want. soooooo.. the brand new show at john's hopkins? yeah, i'm definitely never going back to jhu for anything, ever. yesterday i babysat from 10-12:30 then michelleyelleyelley came over and i showered / got dressed then we packed a picnic consisting of bananas, water bottles, teddy grahams, apple chips!, nutri grain bars, & 4738263234 packs of STARBURST! ..we left aound 2:30.. and didn't even get lost on the way to baltimore, despite the retarded detour signs that we didn't follow.. jhu sucks when it comes to parking especially because they specifically stated they would have people/signs directing where to park.. so we end up parking on the complete opposite side of campus from where the concert is going to be...... so we wander around for a while.. and eventually find the rec center.. no thanks to the ONE map they have on the entire campus! fucking asians and their secret language directions. k sooo then we went and chilled with some old asians under this gazebo thing to stay out of the rain for a little while.. then we went to stand in line at like 4:30.. doors open at 7.. grrrreat idea lol. so we played tic tac toe.. and dots.. and stood in line.. and ate starbursts.. and laughed at the lettuce on the ground. and the emo kid who sat under the hand rail in the fetal position.. and then tried to jump off the ledge.. and talked about how he tried to kill himself so now he can skip classes whenever he wants.. and talked to the girls who threw the lettuce.. andddd made lists of things that could possibly be worse.. and stood in the rain for hours and were freezing cold.. and shivering and shaking and dying and then the doors finally opened.. they made an announcement about how no cameras other than disposable ones were allowed. yeah so michelle and i were not about to go back to her car .. mainly because we had no idea where it was.. so we secretly hid them in our.. clothing. lol so then we went to the stage and stood for an hour like 3 people from the front fence thing.. it was awesome that the security guards who are supposed to be saving people and everything were like short and scrawny and uggggggh.. anyway.. so we sat there freezing cold and super tall emo kid was right in front of me so i couldn't see anything.. which sucked.. then the surprise opening act came on.. *Colour Revolt* was the name.. just some band with an old guy, a scrawny college kid, and a retarded blonde guy who kept like doing these wierd dance moves and just sucked in general.. their first song wasnt bad.. but it just went downhill from there.. their 4th song was about a funeral home.. and they so didnt let us forget that. thennnnnnnn we waited for the soundcheck / tech shit to happen and out of fucking nowhere when no one was even on stage the entire crowd just decided to fucking rush the stage / push everyone else to the point where we were all straight sticking to eachother.. wet and soggy and the kid in front of us smelled so fucking bad.. so yeah that was insane bad times.. and then when bn finally came on.. it got even worse.. they played soco first which made me sad cause i couldnt even enjoy it cause i was basically DYING. michelle and i decided to get out and go up to the balcony cause like no one was up there.. so michelle escaped successfully.. i was stuck beyond belief. it was absolutely fucking rediculous.. i was stuck for their next song and then i tried to get out between songs.. screaming HELP and omgg i have never been in such a shitty concert situation.. it was amazing at the same time like everyone knew every word to every song but i could not enjoy it at all.. so i was still stuck in the crowd and girls behind me were trying to get out too so i was just straight beating bitches up trying to get out.. and they were behind me like pushing me and hitting my back like that would make me get out any easier.. so at one point i got shoved into this group of really big, really drunk college guys.. who would not let me out.. one guy kept saying 'here let me help you' and grabbing me and basically molesting me and i was like screaming help and it was absolute fucking madness.. and i kinda just went insane and started pushing everyone around me cause i couldnt breathe and i was having a panic attack.. and somehow i felt air in my lungs and i was reaching the edge of the crowd.. and i finally got out and found michelle and i was like jdasjdlsiur7arfjkajksdjsdjkfhlhask;adsjkagf OMG and so we went to the bathroom and calmed down.. and then i was like ok lets go the balcony.. but she was had already tried to talk to the security guard saying she needed to go up and see if she could find her friend in the crowd and he would not let her up *without a pass*. soooooooooooooooooooooooooo.. we went to this area where this girl was passed out on the ground with paramedics around her.. and we watched the show from there.. despite alllllllllllllllllllllllll the bad shit that happened all day long. it. was. still. an. amazing. show. and i fuckiing love brand new. i didnt get like a single good picture out of it all.. but hopefully someone from the _brandnew community did that i can steal.. omg jesse lacey is.. so amazing.. and vinnie's sketchball super mario stache was mesmerizing.. and all in all it was a miserable day but bn just barely canceled everything else out. ♥
